Nylon is seen as the middle ground between olefin and higher quality fibers, and is more resistant to crushing. Polyester (also called a PET Berber) is made from recycled plastics and is ideal for the environmentally-conscious homeowner. A wool Berber carpet offers comfort and longer lasting durability than most other Berber carpets, but the cost may make you think twice about purchasing.
